Today's session

So today I did a eve Taylor facial , it went well but at the end of the treatment the client asked if comedones removal was in this treatment , I said that we could of done it in this  facial if I would of known that she wanted it doing , so today's lesson was , that i  always need to do a consultation sheet before the treatment this usually would of happened but the printer didn't print it quick enough.  I need to do the consultation sheet, so i know what my client is trying to achieve with her skin care and also the type of treatment shes looking for and her skin type and history. I explained to my client that a galvanic facial would be more suited to her needs as we do extraction in the facial, she seemed very eager  to try this, unfortunately we haven't had much experience practicing the galvanic facial as we've only done this on a few occasions , so we have told her to book for the facial in five weeks time and also to book for me, she seemed happy with the advice and  the facial i gave her so hopefully she will return to college for the galvanic treatment soon.

Today in our work experience session I have been salon manager. I've ensured the salon is today. I've also tidied the cupboards ensuring all products are cleaned and put in the correct place. I've also made sure all products are replenished , I've enjoyed being salon manager and I would like to do it again. 

In this mornings commercial session i did an eve Taylor facial on a client. shes a regular clients and she comes to us every Friday. I  did a masq using a goarse . when i finished the treatment i wrote the bill but forgot to add the masq onto it. The masq is £4 extra added onto a Eve Taylor radiant facial. When my client got to the reception desk she ask the receptionist to make sure to add the masq to bill which made us look unprofessional as the therapist and also as the college.So today ive learned a valueable lesson to make sure i add extras onto bills and make sure everythings correct.

In today session we were doing ibd gel nails in the heart space,we did it 12-3, we decided to do it early so we could catch staff on the dinner breaks.WE literally had no success once again i ask many people if they would like their nails done i also offered hand and arm massage but no one wanted one. this is becoming a frequent thing hopefully next week we will get some success.

On Friday it was Macmillan coffer morning ,we brought in cakes and did treatments to raise money. we also did some charitable waxing. I did a pedicure and a buff and polish. my client also asked about the products we sell , she wanted a soothing wash but the range only do it in a purify wash, but she went home looking through the retail book . She also gave me a tip.we raised £2,200 in our department.

As part of our work experience we are currently doing ibd gel nails in the heart space from 1 to 4pm, so far we haven't had many clients . throughout the past two weeks we've had one client. The gel nails are £10 so we've decided to change the times so that we can get more clients.If we change the time 12-3 we will get more staff and students on there dinner break .We asked many people but had no luck, finally these girls decided to have hand and arm massage.Hopefully next week we will get some clients.
